ENCAUSTIC
Encaustic is a fascinating medium with ancient roots. It is created with molten wax, damar resin and pigments. It gives a lot of freedom for mixed media and collage. I find the wax infuses each piece with a dream-like, otherworldly quality, evocative of lyrical dreams, mysterious forests and forgotten realms.
All of my works are original pieces made in my home studio. Some of them feature original paintings and drawings as well as photographs that I have taken while traveling.
